April 2, 2025 (Costa Mesa, CA) – RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture is excited to announce the opening of its first California studio in Costa Mesa, marking a bold new chapter in the firm’s mission to design a better world.
This milestone reflects the continued growth and evolution of RVi as a national design studio. Over the past several years, the RVi team has expanded its reach, deepened its expertise, and sharpened its identity, offering four integrated disciplines that guide our work across key sectors: planning, landscape architecture, urban design, and visioning & brand design.
RVi’s expansion into Southern California is more than just geographic—it’s a commitment to creating places with staying power. With established studios in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado, the newest location strengthens RVi’s presence in the West and positions the firm to support a growing number of clients who share RVi’s passion for placemaking, people-first design, and thoughtful stewardship of the land.
Located in Culture Yard, a creative office campus, the Costa Mesa studio will offer the full range of RVi’s services, combining creative design with strategic planning, and crafting integrated environments that shape vibrant, sustainable spaces while considering every aspect of functionality, community needs, and ecological balance.
The new studio will be led by Principal Brett Allen Park and Associate Principal Tony Ortiz, seasoned creative partners known for their experienced leadership, deep regional knowledge, and commitment to nurturing client relationships.
“We’re thrilled to bring our ideas, energy, and design perspective to launch RVi’s Costa Mesa studio,” says Park. “This is a vibrant, diverse region with an appetite for creative placemaking. We’re excited to co-author the next chapter alongside our clients, collaborators, and community partners.”
The launch of the Costa Mesa studio follows a year of strong momentum for RVi, including two strategic mergers in 2024 and continued organic growth fueled by a shared vision: to design curated experiences that connect people to place, purpose, and one another.
“Opening in Southern California is more than a milestone—it’s a celebration of where we’ve been and where we’re going,” says Chris Crawford, RVi President. “It represents the evolution of our brand, the strength of our people, and our desire to lead with empathy, creativity, and bold ideas that elevate the communities we serve.”
RVi Costa Mesa is located at 150 Paularino Avenue, Suite D-225, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
